UniPanel Server Manager
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Summary
UniPanel does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There is
no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. Everything you enter
stays on your device or goes directly to the servers you choose to manage.
What UniPanel is
UniPanel Server Manager is a mobile client for infrastructure you already
own: hosting control panels (Panelica, Plesk, cPanel/WHM), Proxmox VE,
CloudFlare and Kubernetes. The app talks to your systems directly. It
does not proxy your traffic through any service we operate, because we do
not operate one.
Data we collect
None.
We have no backend, no user accounts and no telemetry. We cannot see
which servers you add, what you do in the app, or that you use the app at
all. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting SDK and no advertising
identifier in the application. This can be verified in the source code.
Data stored on your device
The following stays on your device and is never sent to us:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Server addresses and labels | App storage | To list your servers |
| API tokens and keys | iOS Keychain / Android Keystore | To authenticate to your servers |
| Display preferences, cached metrics | App storage | To keep the app fast between launches |
Passwords are not stored. For Plesk and cPanel the admin password you
type is used once to create an API token and then discarded; only the
token is kept, in the system keychain.
Removing a server in the app deletes its stored credentials from the
device. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
Data sent off your device
Only to the servers you added, and only what those servers need:
- HTTPS/TLS to your panel, hypervisor, CloudFlare account or Kubernetes
API server.
- SSH when you open a terminal session.
No third party sits in between. We receive nothing.
Permissions
- Camera — used only to scan a QR code when a panel offers QR
pairing. Optional; a server can always be added by typing its address.
- Local network (iOS) — servers are commonly on a LAN or VPN, for
example a Proxmox host on a private address.
- Notifications — local notifications only, to report on long running
jobs you started such as a backup or a restore. There is no push
service and no marketing.
- Photos / Files — only when you choose to download a file from your
server or upload one to it.
Children
UniPanel is a system administration tool. It is not directed at children
and collects no data from anyone.
Third-party services
The app bundles no third-party service. The systems it connects to
(CloudFlare, your hosting provider, your own servers) are governed by
their own privacy policies and your own agreements with them.
Security
Credentials live in the platform's secure storage: the iOS Keychain or
the Android Keystore. Transport uses the operating system's own TLS and
SSH implementations; the app contains no custom cryptography. Where a
server presents a self-signed certificate, the app asks you before
trusting it and records that decision for that server only.
Open source
UniPanel is open source. You do not have to take this policy on trust:
the code is published and the claims above can be checked in it,
including the absence of any analytics or telemetry dependency.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same
address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted
in the app's release notes.
